In this post I will explain how I hooked up our normal washing machine to provide some power usage insights, such as sending notifications that include the cycle time and power consumption.
We have a couple Hue Motion Sensors in our apartment to provide some automation for lighting control which work great, albeit a bit expensive.
In our house we have a few older generation Teckin SP22’s running Espurna and newer Gosund SP111 running Tasmota that all publish their energy statistics via MQTT to Home Assistant.
